The Kelton House, an authentic example of Italianate architecture, is filled with beautiful 19th century antiques used by the family. The home stayed in the Kelton family from its construction in 1852 by Sophia and Fernando Kelton until 1975 when their granddaughter Grace passed away. The Keltons were wealthy, due to Fernando's prosperous wholesale business, but risked losing everything to help fugitive slaves as conductors on the Underground Railroad.
