The new Ohio Union opened March 2010 and offers 34 large and small, unique event spaces accommodating 17 to 1,700 guests for any occasion.

Let us help you plan your conference, convention, corporate/board meeting, holiday celebration, seminar, continuing education and training, retreat, reception, wedding and banquet. Allow our one-stop professional event planners and team to create a very memorable event. Come and experience our awe-inspiring building design that our community is enjoying.

We encompass over 318,000 sq. ft. and offer many high tech, cutting edge A/V capabilities amidst a distinctive Buckeye setting. Our gorgeous Grand Ballroom is one of the largest in Columbus and showcases our in-house, full-service catering team, Catering 1870, with many creative and delicious menu selections. Our Performance Hall features a built-in stage and entry to our outdoor courtyard.

The Ohio Union is centrally located on The Ohio State University campus and minutes from downtown Columbus and Port Columbus International Airport. We have parking garages attached to the Ohio Union for the convenience of our guests with 1200 spaces.

The Union Market is on-premise and offers multiple food options. Two restaurants with bars are Sloopy’s Diner and Woody’s Tavern. Woody’s Tavern features wood-fired pizza, Ohio beer and wine, and is perfect for game day Saturdays. Sloopy’s Diner features classic favorites in our 50's inspired, 22-hour diner with indoor and outdoor seating.

Our instructional culinary kitchen can host 80 guests to view live demonstrations and participate in hands-on cooking classes. It is also reservable for team-building programs.

The new Ohio Union is LEED silver certified status and our state-of-the-art facility features sustainable products and structural elements we have reused from the previous Ohio Union and Buy-Ohio initiative's throughout building.
